SINGAPORE – Having experienced depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, American sociologist and psychologist Corey Keyes says current treatments for mental health issues “at best manage the symptoms, but rarely, if at all, can ‘cure’ a person”.
Known for his research in the field of positive psychology, the 61-year-old was inspired to study the concept of languishing and the need to promote better mental health for a flourishing life.
