SINGAPORE - Demand for cameras has snapped back after two years of slumping sales, driven by more people gradually taking up photography as a hobby, among other reasons.

Take the case of Mr Sylbestian Ang. Inspired by friends who asked him to tag along for photo shoots, he had been keen to pick up photography with standalone cameras for a while. But he could never find enough spare time due to work.
