CP+ 2020 cancellation a boon for Photokina?

Affected camera-makers that had opted out of world's largest photographic equipment trade show may now showcase their latest products there

Tomorrow would have been the opening of CP+ 2020, one of the world's biggest photographic equipment trade shows, in Yokohama, Japan. But the annual four-day event has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

CP+ has always been the key event for camera-makers, especially those from Japan, to launch and showcase their latest products. Visitors would have been able to see and try out Canon's latest mirrorless camera, the EOS R5, at this year's show if not for the cancellation.
