LAS VEGAS - It is no longer just empty talk and immense hype - 5G is finally going mainstream this year.

That was certainly the sentiment felt at mega tech show CES in Las Vegas last week, where analysts predicted that the gradual roll-out of 5G networks worldwide will generate so much interest that it could turn around the steady slump in global smartphone sales for the first time in more than two years.
