Potential new election candidates from the ruling People's Action Party (PAP) were spotted at community events and walkabouts over the past two weeks, amid expectations that the general election will be held in the next few months.

In Nee Soon GRC, Home Affairs and Law Minister K. Shanmugam was seen in his Chong Pang ward last Saturday with Mr Derrick Goh, 51, vice-chairman of Gambas-Yishun Citizens' Consultative Committee (CCC) and managing director and head of group audit at DBS Bank.
