Singapore has made big strides in the use of green energy over the last decade. The number of grid-connected solar panel installations increased by more than 80 times from 34 to 2,873 in that period.
The total capacity of solar energy generated went up by more than 500 times, from 0.4 megawatt-peak (MWp) by the first quarter of 2009 to 226.4MWp as of the end of the first quarter of this year.
