SINGAPORE - Around 180 Housing Board (HDB) lifts under the Workers' Party-run Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC) will be upgraded with better safety measures over the next 15 months.

These are among a second batch of lifts to be enhanced under a 10-year national plan, starting in January last year, to upgrade more than 18,500 lifts across all HDB estates.
