Three Nominated MPs decided to push ahead with their motion to amend a fake news Bill in Parliament on Wednesday, despite knowing it would probably be rejected by most MPs.
Associate Professor Walter Theseira, one of the trio, said they made the move to exercise the authority of Parliament to propose meaningful changes to legislation, and to have differences in view publicly debated for the record.
