The compact premium sedan segment is dominated by cars like the Mercedes-Benz C-class, BMW 3-series, Audi A4 and Lexus IS.

British carmaker Jaguar launched the XE sedan in 2015 to compete in this segment, but it did not make a major sales impact here.
