Singapore bars stay on top

Five years into Asia's 50 Best Bars, Singapore bars continue to make their mark, but face stiff competition from Hong Kong and China bars

Their seats are gathering dust and their bar counters have turned into assembly lines for packing takeaway cocktails as bar establishments in Singapore, and globally, find a way to keep their businesses afloat under the current global pandemic.

But that did not stop the Asia's 50 Best Bars countdown from going ahead last Thursday - sans the popping of corks and clinking of glasses - to recognise the achievements of the Asian bar industry in a livestreamed virtual countdown.
