SINGAPORE - Yeo Yann Yann won the prize for Best Actress at the Golden Horse Awards in Taipei last weekend (Nov 23) for her part in film-maker Anthony Chen's drama Wet Season.

Her journey to the podium began, strangely enough, when she was cold-shouldered by Chen. The Singaporean film-maker says he deliberately left her name out of his list of people to see.
