SINGAPORE – Tech manager Linett Sim, 27, prefers running in overseas races and marathons as it doubles as a chance to explore a new environment and clock miles.

When competing abroad, she sometimes runs routes that are surrounded by nature, which also tend to be places that travellers would otherwise explore on tour. These include the Doi Inthanon mountain in Chiang Mai, where she ran a 25km marathon in 2023.
