SINGAPORE - After being diagnosed with high blood pressure as a result of being overweight two years ago, operations manager Bryan Lim, 28, was determined to shed the kilograms.

"The only way was to lose weight or take medication to maintain my blood pressure," he says. "I didn't want to take medication for the rest of my life."
