After a week of high-stakes moves by the country's politicians, the Malaysian Parliament will reveal whether any leader can command the support of at least 111 of his peers.

Should there be no winners, then voters will go back to the ballot box, less than two years after they elected to change the government for the first time since independence over 60 years ago.
