KUALA LUMPUR - Confusion reigned for some 48 hours earlier this week in Malaysia in the run-up to, and after, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced the Restricted Movement Order (RMO) following a steep spike in coronavirus cases.
As of Thursday (March 19), Malaysia recorded 110 new cases to raise the total to 900 cases. Two-thirds of the cases - 576 patients - are linked to the Kuala Lumpur mass gathering at the Masjid Jamek Sri Petaling, attended by some 16,000 people.
