SYDNEY - Australia’s rules to enable workers to request flexible workplace arrangements – similar to those set to come into force in Singapore from December – have proven uncontroversial so far, and have not led to serious clashes between bosses and staff.

But employers believe the measures could make workers less productive and that staff working remotely are likely to be less efficient, less focused and less motivated.
